Telltale Signs of Web Sites that Make Money

Welcome to Cash Factory, where browsing becomes an educational journey into the most extensive resource for folks who want to make money via the worldwide web. Unless you’ve been living under a rock for the past half decade, you probably know that one of the biggest uses the Internet has for the average Joe is making money online. This is more than just a fad; everyday, millions of bloggers keep on finding new ways of making a living via the power of the Internet. In fact, some of the more successful entrepreneurs don’t just make a living – they make enough money to buy a new car using the worldwide web. That’s a multi-million dollar industry right there.

The question, of course, remains just how one makes money from the Internet. Some people just stumble into the enterprise completely by accident, while others plan for a moneymaking website extensively, but at the end of the day, the viewer can’t tell what makes money online and what doesn’t. I mean, you look through web sites that make money and there’s hardly any way of differentiating them from web sites that don’t make money. These are the kind of things that you can’t tell at a glance.

You will have clues, though. The biggest indicator of a money-making website – or at least one that’s trying – is the presence of advertisements. Of course, saying that a website has ads isn’t the same thing as saying that a website that has ads is making money – there are far too many other considerations to take note of before being able to say that this site is earning. But the presence of ads will be a sign that this guy’s trying to make it in the worldwide web.

Another way of checking for a website’s purpose is by looking at the posts themselves. What do they usually talk about? Do they sound like they’re selling a product? Or are they promoting a service? Folks who try to set up a small-scale business that deals with selling goods or services start web sites that make money via promotions. While this is different from earning via blogging, the concept is basically the same: with this model, though, the idea is more of pushing a product forward and getting as much visibility on the Internet as you can, as opposed to getting a regular readership.

The last thing you should look out for in order to figure out whether a website is out to make money or not is to check if they have any affiliate marketing-related content on their sites. The basic idea here is pretty much like the concept of selling goods and services via blogs, but this time, instead of putting up your own blog, you pay people who blog to advertise your product for you. In a way, this is the same thing as advertising as well, but making money online via affiliate marketing is different. But more on that on a different post.

If you’re thinking of making money online via blogging, knowing what constitutes a moneymaking blog is important, so you might want to do a little bit of research and try to see if you can spot those elements we just discussed. Why don’t you go on a spin through several Wordpress blogs and try to see if you can spot these telltale signs on blogs that are trying to earn via the Internet.

Make More Money Without Spending a Dime

How do you make money while spending less? Well, I can’t answer that but if you ask me “how do I make more money without spending a single dime? “, that I know the answer for sure. Even with no product and no website, you can get paid just for what and who you know. How? Make online money.

Making money online traditionally require you to have your own website, products to sell and some marketing skills. But new means have arisen that can pay you for what you know and who you know without you having to be a marketing genius or a skilled web designer.

But the problem now lies on how to tell hype from the real deal. When you search on “make money online” and “make money now”, much of the information out there is just promoting various info products, mostly about internet marketing. That’s why people sometimes wonder if there’s anyone making money online besides Internet marketing experts.

So I created a list of business opportunities with the following features:

  • Pay cash, not just points to gain rewards or a chance to win money
  • Don’t require you to have your own domain or products
  • Don’t involve hard-selling
  • Aren’t promoting much internet marketing
  • Give good returns on your time investment

In the spirit of objectivity, none of the sites stated below are affiliate links, and none of them have paid or provided consideration to be included. These are legitimate companies with business models allowing you to get paid for a wide range of activities.

1. Help your friends find better jobs

Sites like ReferEarns, Zyoin, Bohire and WiseStepp connect employers with prospective employees. Rewards for referring a candidate who gets hired range from $50  up to several thousand dollars.  If you know a lot of job-seekers this is a great way to break into the recruiting business without overhead.

2. Connect suppliers with buyers

Referral fee is a common practice in business, but they have not been used that much in online networking sites for there was no way to track them. Sites like Salesconx, and uRefer can now provide that. Vendors set the referral fees they are willing to pay, and when the transaction occurs, you get paid.

3. Write

A growing number of sites pay for your articles or blog posts. Associated Content and Helium for example will “pay for performance” based on page views – about anything you want to write about. Articles on specific topics they’re looking for can earn you direct payments up to about $200. The rate is probably low for established writers, but it’s a great way to start. Also, a lot of companies need part-time bloggers as well. They may pay you per post or on a steady contract.

4. Start your own blog

You don’t have to develop your own site, install blogging software, or even figure out how advertising works just to make money online. At Blogger you can set up a blog for free in about five minutes without knowing a thing about web design. Blogger automates setting up Google AdSense so you can make money off your blog through displaying ads to be paid on per click basis. To make more money from it, set up an affiliate program and insert your affiliate links whenever you refer to those items.

5. Engage in microstock photography

You don’t need to be a professional photographer to sell your photos. People are in constant need of stock photography for websites, presentations, brochures and many more. They are willing to pay for the right image. People usually search for images on stock photography sites using keywords, not photographer. So more likely you have the same chance as anybody of having your image picked.  If it’s a decent photo, then upload it. Some sites to get you started include Fotolia, ShutterStock, and iStockphoto.

This list is by no means comprehensive, but it highlights some of the new and interesting ways to make money online without you having to invest any money, without having products of your own, and without having expert  marketing skills as it’s just all potential substantial return on your time investment

Make Money Now: Sure Ways to Make Money Online

As the global economic downturn continues, more and more people lose their jobs. And as the internet remains to a widespread culture; phrases like “make money now” and “ways to make money online” are becoming increasingly popular among the search engines.

Evidently, the ability to make money online is very attractive, especially during these difficult times. Would you not want to work from the comfort of your own home and work as often or as little as you’d like? Who won’t?

Anyone can certainly make a full-time living online. I’m a proof of that. Just don’t fall for the hype that many products promise.

There are actually several lists with “make easy money with your own website” on the Internet, but none of them seem to be really complete. That’s why I try to come up with this list of the direct means you can make money online. May you find this list beneficial to start your money-making.

1. PPC Advertising Network

It can be concluded that when it comes to ways to make money online through pay-per-click, Google AdSense is the most popular. Basically this method requires you to sign up with the network and paste some code snippets on your website. And as the name suggests, you will earn a certain amount of money for every click.

The profitability of PPC advertising heavily depends on the general traffic levels of the website, on the click-through rate (CTR) and cost per click (CPC).

2. CPM Advertising Network

Cost per Mille advertising networks work pretty much as PPC networks, except that you get paid according to the number of impressions (i.e., page views) that the ads on your site will generate.

3. Direct Banner Advertising

Selling your own advertising space is one of the most profitable methods. The downside of direct banner advertising however is that you need to have a big audience to get qualified advertisers, plus you’ll need to spend time managing the sales process and the payments.

4. Text Link Ads

The main advantage of text link ads is that it is not intrusive. One can sell text links directly through his website or use specialized networks like Text-Link-Ads and Text-Link-Brokers to automate the process.

5. Affiliate Marketing

Under this method you have a merchant that is willing to let other people sell directly or indirectly its products and services, in exchange of commission. This type of advertising is also called CPA (cost per action) or CPL (cost per lead).

6. Sponsored Reviews

PayPerPost pioneered this system. Soon other companies followed, most notably Sponsored Reviews and ReviewMe, refining the process and expanding the paid blogging model.

7. RSS Feed Ads

With the widespread adoption of the RSS technology by millions of Internet users, website owners are starting to find ways to monetize this new content distribution channel.

8. Premium Content

Some websites and blogs give away part of their content for free, and charge for access to the entire content and exclusive tools.

9. Job Boards

All the popular blogs are trying to influence job boards as way to make money online. Guy Kawasaki, ReadWriteWeb, Problogger…name it. In order to create a profitable job board you need first to have a blog focused on a niche, having a decent amount of traffic.

10. Marketplaces

Depending on your niche, a market place that allows your visitors to buy, sell and trade products could work well. Over the time you could start charging a small fee for new product listings.

11. Paid Surveys and Polls

This is one of the most common ways to make money online. Basically you need to sign up and select the kind of polls that you want to run your site.

12. Donations

Placing a “Donate” button on a website can be a good way to make money online, especially if the niche of your blog is where readers learn and gain value from your content.

13. Pop-ups and Pop-unders

Pop-ups are a common yet annoying form of advertisement on the Internet. If you are just trying to make much money as possible from your website, you could also experiment with them.

14. Audio Ads

Also called PPP (Pay Per Play), this advertising method was first introduce by Net Audio Ads. The concept is simple: play a short audio advertising time a visitor enters into your website.

15. Selling the Website

As they say make easy money with your own website. Selling your website might be your last resource, but it has the potential to generate a big amount of money in a short period of time.
